Launch of the ELI Romanian Hub

Yesterday, at the Romanian Academy, the ELI Romanian Hub was launched, an event graced by the presence of the President of the European Law Institute, Ms Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell.

The new platform aims to contribute to the development of legal research through dialogue and cooperation between academia and all the legal professions, so that the solutions to today's challenges are built together.

Opening the event, Ms Laura Badiu, President of UNNPR, underlined the importance of the notarial profession's involvement in this project. During the discussions, Ms Mihaela Durnescu gave the presentation „Vulnerable by design. Artificial intelligence, digital exclusion and the protection of adults – a notarial perspective”.

The panel on the current challenges facing the law in a digital and multipolar era was moderated by Dr Ioana Olaru, a trainer at the Romanian Notarial Institute, who actively supports the Romanian notariat's participation in European legal dialogue and in the research initiatives developed within ELI.
